Gordon Hignell BSc FRICS [Principal]

Gordon joined Chancellor & Sons in 1978 having obtained a degree in Valuation and Estate Management from Bristol Polytechnic (now the University of the West of England). He became an Associate of the Incorporated Society of Valuers and Auctioneers in 1980, was elected a Fellow in 1992 and became a Fellow of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors in January 2000. Since joining Chancellor & Sons he has acquired considerable knowledge of the commercial market in Camberley being involved with commercial valuations, lettings, rent reviews and property management for a number of local private and corporate clients.

In 1997, Gordon became only the 5th owner since 1927.


Julie Taeger

Julie has extensive knowledge of the sales and customer service environment having run her own business importing and distributing fresh flowers throughout the UK. She has also managed a Customer Service Department within a large multi national company. Having had a family break she came to residential property sales in 1992, initially with a large multi-national agency chain, joining Chancellor & Sons in 1998 and became the Sales Manager in November 2008.

Terry Woods FRICS (Consultant)

Terry is a Chartered Surveyor who specialised in residential valuation and estate agency with 45 years experience, 40 years of which have been in Camberley. Know as "Mr. Camberley" because of his specialist local knowledge and expertise in all things ‘Camberley’, he is a person to speak to for sound residential property advice and guidance.

Despite retiring and becoming a consultant in early 2008, he still has regular contact with the office.

Julia Palmer

Julia’s background is in Retail Sales, Management and Training with over 10 years experience with a major fashion retailer. She joined Chancellor & Sons in 2004, initially as a weekend Sales assistant and as holiday cover. She is now a fully-fledged member of the sales and letting teams.

Hilary Adams

Hilary joined the Company at the beginning of 2008. She assists in the Residential Sales and Lettings departments. Hilary has extensive knowledge of the property market having worked for another local chain of estate agents for 18 years, both in Residential Sales and their specialist New Homes department.


Jackie Hawes MARLA

Prior to joining Chancellor & Sons in 1997 as a Lettings Assistant with responsibility for inventories, Jackie had been involved in customer services and accounts. In June 1999 she became the first Letting Agent in Camberley to pass (with Merit) the Association of Residential Letting Agents’ 2000 competency test and became an Individual Member of the Association of Residential Letting Agents shortly after. Jackie took over as Manager of the Lettings Department in August 1999.

Rachel McAneny

Joined Chancellor & Sons in November 1999 as Secretary to the Residential Sales, Lettings and Commercial departments and since then, she has qualified as an Inventory Clerk and in August 2007, Rachel became Jackie’s assistant in the Lettings department when Ann Craske moved to work in commercial property.
